Square Tile Edge Trims and Their Versatility

Our square tile edge trims come in various materials, including aluminum, stainless steel, and PVC, each suited to different installation needs.

Aluminum Square Tile Edge Trims

Aluminum is a popular choice for its versatility, particularly for indoor use. Our aluminum profiles are available with anodized or powder-coated finishes, as well as in a natural, untreated surface. The anodized versions, achieved through a chemical process, enhance the metal’s corrosion resistance and come in silver and titanium. Powder-coated aluminum is available in black, providing additional protection and a smooth finish. Untreated aluminum in its natural color offers a more budget-friendly option.

Stainless Steel Square Tile Edge Trims

V2A stainless steel square trims are highly popular for both indoor and outdoor use due to their excellent corrosion resistance. These trims are available in polished or brushed finishes, as well as in an untreated option. The brushed stainless steel finish, with its matte look, adds a modern touch and is also easy to maintain.

Hights of Our Square Tile Edge Trims

In our shop, you’ll find square tile edge trims in standard heights ranging from 7 to 12.5 mm. For a flush finish, choose a trim height that is 1 to 2 mm higher than the tile thickness. This accounts for the layer of tile adhesive, which raises the tile slightly. A flush edge provides optimal protection and helps prevent potential tripping hazards.

Square Tile Trims – Timeless All-Rounders

Square tile trims have become essential in the construction industry, providing edge protection for various flooring types. Here are some popular applications for our square tile trims:

Stainless Steel Square Tile Trims in the Shower:

For elegant tile finishes in wet areas, such as shower niches, stainless steel square tile trims are the perfect solution. When correctly installed, they are rust-resistant, providing durability in damp environments. Matching corner pieces allow for easy corner installation without complex miter cuts.

Square Tile Trims as Transition Edges:

Square tile trims are excellent for creating seamless boundaries between different tile types or flooring materials, adding visual accents that enhance the overall look. With a wide range of colors and finishes, our square tile trims offer options for any style.

Square Tile End Trims for Wall Elements:

Square tile trims are ideal for finishing tiled wall elements, especially in bathrooms. This is one of the most common uses for these trims, and the matching corner pieces simplify installation on outer corners.

Square Tile Trims on Stairs:

Using square tile trims on stair edges helps prevent tripping hazards and extends the lifespan of the stairs. The trims protect tile edges from damage, and stainless steel square tile trims are especially suited for stairs due to their robust material.

FAQ Square Edge Tile Trims

How many mm higher should you choose the square tile trims?

Choose a tile trim that is 1-2 mm higher than the thickness of your tile to achieve a flush finish. Note that with stainless steel square tile trims, sliding the tiles into the trim is not intended.

Should I choose an angle tile trim or a square tile trim?

Primarily, this is a visual choice. Angle tile trims are more subtle, while square tile trims have a wider visible edge. For corner installations, square tile trims are often a better option as we offer matching corner pieces.

How are square tile trims installed?

The tile trims are simply pressed into the thin-bed mortar at the end of the tile run, allowing the adhesive to come through the perforated leg. Next, embed the tile in the adhesive with a 1 mm joint to the trim. Fill this joint with grout, then remove any excess grout afterward.
